Custom Industrial Shafts

A major part of the business of Drive Shafts, Inc. is the manufacture of industrial driveshafts.  Heave machinery, such as that found in papermills, oil rigs and printing presses requires large drivelines to transfer power between components.  Because the uses of these large machines vary so greatly, each shaft within them must be built to exact specifications. 

An example of our on-going expansion into the industrial driveline business has been the design and manufacture of driveshafts used in the machines at several major tubing houses.  These shafts are extremely long and built to handle enormous torque.  They weigh an average of 600 lbs and often have to be installed using overhead cranes.  They are designed for continuous use, as the machines are often running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Although some shafts are a more common 35" in length, they can be built upwards of 100" as well.
